Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Mail Security Operations Specialist to support high-risk mail screening for government and secure facilities. The role involves advising on intake, screening, isolation, opening when required, documenting, and escalation, with duties across procedures, PPE, chain of custody, and coordination with agencies.

Travel to client sites and company locations is occasional; prior DoD/federal experience and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in high-risk mail screening and related operations.
• Hands-on X-ray imaging of letters and parcels with formal suspicious-item procedures.
• Experience leading mail-screening teams in off-site or isolated facilities.
• Familiarity with GSA or OSAC mail-screening guidance.
• Experience supporting DoD, federal facility, or SDVOSB contract work.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; TS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Write mail-screening procedures for high-consequence sites: intake, screening, isolation, opening, release or escalation.
• Advise on isolated-cell operations: PPE, chain of custody, and evidence handling.
• Support drills with security, facilities, and first responders.
• Translate operator workflow into automated screening system requirements.
• Train client screeners and field technicians on suspicious-mail recognition and stop-work authority.
• Coordinate incident documentation with USSS, USPIS, FPS, bomb squads.
• Occasional travel to client sites and Planate locations.
