GEICO is seeking a highly experienced Senior Tech Support specialist to provide on-site macOS and Windows support across regional offices. The role emphasizes Apple technology expertise, MDM administration, and security compliance in a fast-paced environment.
The position is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago with after-hours support and travel to other U.S. offices as needed. Strong scripting and documentation skills are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience (4+ years).
- 10+ years in OS support (Windows/macOS) with depth in macOS/Apple ecosystem.
- 5+ years in tech support, IT infrastructure, networking, or AV support.
- Experience administering an enterprise MDM solution (e.g., Jamf).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site Apple/macOS support across regional offices.
- Act as Tier I/II/III escalation for macOS incidents and service requests.
- Administer Apple devices: MDM, configurations, patches, and security baselines.
- Develop scripts to automate macOS configuration, patching, and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Produce clear technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
