Job summary
Harbinger Motors Inc. seeks an engineer to own the design of low voltage components from concept to production. You will collaborate with Electrical, Software, Supply Chain, and Program Management to define requirements, develop prototypes, and validate designs.
You will also drive sourcing, DVP/PPAP, and production launches, while leading continuous improvement and ECO activities across the component lifecycle. Strong CAD and automotive electrical knowledge required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Internship or extracurricular experience in automotive electromechanical design or related programs.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX) required.
- Solid understanding of low voltage electrical principles and automotive connectors.
- Ability to track milestones and communicate across hardware, software and non-technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering design of low voltage components through lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams.
- Lead concept definition and proof-of-concept studies.
- Support sourcing, RFQ/SOW creation with Supply Chain.
- Drive DVP, PPAP, and SOP documentation and reviews.
- Lead continuous improvement and manage ECOs.
