Blue Origin is seeking a design engineer to develop, release, and support propulsion fluid system hardware for the MK2 Crew Lander. You will own CAD models and coordinate across design, manufacturing, and verification throughout the life cycle.

The role involves collaboration with manufacturing and operations to ensure design for manufacturability and cost considerations. Mentoring entry-level engineers is also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 10+ years designing tubes, fluid components, and secondary structures.
• 5+ years generating 3D Creo models and drawings for complex fluid hardware.
• Experience releasing model based designs.
• Mentoring entry level engineers.
• Experience with structural hand calculations and ANSYS.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T expertise.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate within a diverse team.

Responsabilités

• Generate CAD models for propulsion fluid system hardware.
• Create model-based designs for release.
• Lead design-for-manufacturability for fluid component assemblies.
• Coordinate with operations for fabrication and installation.
• Perform basic structural analysis on fluid hardware.
• Author artifacts to support verification.
