Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Fluids/Mechanical design engineer to contribute to the MK2 Crew Lander by designing fluid system hardware and supporting components. You will own CAD models, lead manufacturability efforts, and coordinate with supply chain to deliver high-quality hardware through the full lifecycle from concept to operation.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 7+ years designing hypergolic and/or helium fluid systems.
• Experience generating 3D models and drawings in Creo for complex fluid hardware.

Responsibilities

• Generate CAD models for fluid system hardware (hypergolic/helium).
• Lead design-for-manufacturability for fluid component assemblies.
• Coordinate with supply chain to procure hardware and manage vendor deliverables.
• Define supporting hardware such as heaters, instrumentation, mounts, and valves.
• Perform basic structural analysis on fluid system hardware.
