Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior engineer to design and analyze fluid systems for the MK2 Crew Lander. You will own CAD models, coordinate with manufacturing, and drive design for manufacturability across the life cycle from concept through operations.

The role requires 7+ years of fluid hardware design, strong Creo experience, and expertise in structural analysis and P&ID interpretation. US citizenship or eligible work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 7+ years designing hypergolic and/or helium fluid system components.
• Experience creating 3D models and drawings in Creo for complex fluid hardware.
• Experience specifying fluid fittings and mounts.
• Structural hand calculations and ANSYS analysis experience.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams and apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Generate CAD models for hypergolic/helium fluid system hardware.
• Lead design for manufacturability of fluid assemblies.
• Coordinate with supply chain to procure hardware and manage vendor deliverables.
• Define supporting hardware such as heaters, instrumentation, mounts, and valves.
• Perform basic structural analyses on fluid system hardware.
