Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Engineering Operations Lead for the MK-1 Lunar Lander Avionics team to steer project management from requirements through deployment. You will partner with the IPT to ensure timely, safe, and cost-aware avionics products for the lunar mission.

You will report on KPIs, manage sprint cycles, and coordinate with internal/external facilities to secure on-time delivery while advancing our safety‑driven spaceflight mission.

Qualifications

• Required B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines
• 3+ years in Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, or similar industries, executing design or production of firmware and embedded software systems that interface with hardware
• 3+ years of experience in technical program management managing integrated firmware, embedded software, and hardware engineering development projects, managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost
• 3+ years working directly with hardware integration teams or suppliers in the execution of embedded systems development
• Experienced at collecting and synthesizing information from multiple stakeholders and translating data into firmware/software project requirements, scoping and planning documents
• Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile, MS Project, P6 Primavera, or similar project management tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain the team's operating cadence through communication to stakeholders, management of key performance indicators and project meetings to report key performance metrics (technical, cost, schedule, and risk) for avionics system development
• Generate boards/tools necessary for project and product health on MK-1 Avionics products, including data for Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Lunar Program Weekly Reviews
• Performs scrum master role for avionics teams following agile development methods, including defining and executing team sprints
• Supports team representation in agile product planning sessions and release planning activities
• Define, monitor, and track all receivables and deliverable products from the MK-1 Avionics IPT and their utilization
• Maintain an integrated management schedule factoring in dependencies and deliverables
• Work closely with internal and external integration facilities and test environments to coordinate on‑time delivery of avionics products
