Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engineering Operations Lead for the MK-1 Lunar Lander Avionics Team in Seattle, WA. You will partner with the IPT to deliver avionics products powering MK-1, guiding the project lifecycle from requirements through flight hardware integration and verification.

The role emphasizes agile leadership, schedule management, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure on-time lunar surface delivery while upholding safety and repeatable

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in aerospace, electrical, computer science, software engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years in aerospace/defense/auto with firmware and embedded software experience interfacing with hardware.
• 3+ years in technical program management for firmware, embedded software and hardware projects.
• 3+ years working with hardware integration teams or suppliers on embedded systems.
• Experience translating multi-stakeholder data into firmware/software requirements and planning docs.
• Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile, MS Project or Primavera.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating cadence via stakeholder communications and KPI reporting for avionics system development.
• Create boards/tools for project health data, including WBRs and Lunar Program reviews.
• Act as Scrum Master for avionics teams following agile methods and define sprints.
• Support agile product planning and release planning activities.
• Define, monitor, and track all MK-1 Avionics IPT deliverables and utilization.
• Maintain an integrated master schedule with dependencies and milestones.
• Coordinate with internal/external facilities for on-time avionics delivery.
