Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engineering Operations lead for the Core Avionics Team. The role focuses on improving the operating cadence, vertical integrations, and hardware deliveries across electronics design and manufacturing.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and program plans to ensure flight-ready avionics hardware reaches mission milestones. Responsibilities span reporting, risk management, and collaboration with Lunar Transportation and suppliers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 7+ years in electronics design and manufacturing operations on technical projects.
• Experience from concept through production of electronics hardware.
• Experience with SMT, through-hole, conformal coating, potting and final test.
• Familiarity with Altium, Cadence and MES tools.
• Experience with supply chain, cost, risk and EVM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating cadence and report metrics for electronics milestones and MRLs.
• Monitor health of electronics design and manufacturing processes to cut cycle time.
• Coordinate with Lunar Management Operations to align dependencies.
• Prepare boards/tools for reporting in WBRs and program reviews.
• Support agile product planning with emphasis on design sprints and capacity planning.
• Mentor teams and lead problem-solving Tiger Teams as needed.
• Define and track electronics hardware configurations and manufacturing specs.
• Coordinate with internal and external facilities for on-time flight-ready hardware.
• Oversee design reviews, manufacturing readiness and supplier qualification.
• Promote leadership, development, and adherence to Blue Origin principles.
