Job summary

Genworth seeks a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to lead governance and controllership of LTC models and processes in a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will become expert on LTC model, data, and controls, ensuring compliance with company and professional standards.

The role requires coordinating with valuation, projections, and experience teams, with opportunities to expand oversight to new products.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance, or related field.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or ASA with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably LTC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team oriented.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience in actuarial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment and ensure cross-team consistency.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation for transparency.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC models and processes.
• Expand governance to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
