Job summary

CS Recruiting in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Senior Customer Account Manager to own key logistics relationships and ensure performance aligned with client expectations. You will drive revenue growth through cross-selling intermodal, warehousing, and other services, and lead business reviews with KPI dashboards and strategic insights.

You will collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to protect margins, manage rate negotiations, and develop SOPs for consistency across accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in freight brokerage, logistics ops, or account management (FTL, LTL, Intermodal).
• Proficiency in TMS and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), MS Office.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and claims processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and translate insights into actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage key customer accounts and align expectations with performance.
• Drive revenue and margin growth through cross-selling services.
• Deliver high-quality customer experience via KPI execution and problem resolution.
• Lead business reviews with KPI dashboards and insights for customers and internal teams.
• Negotiate rates across FTL, LTL, and Intermodal using market data and pricing tools.
• Develop SOPs for each account to ensure billing accuracy and service consistency.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to meet commitments and profitability targets.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks, addressing service gaps across departments.
• Support RFPs, pricing requests, and customer onboarding initiatives.
