The Henry Senior Living in Ballwin, MO is hiring a Sous Chef for a full-time, on-site role. The position offers a competitive hourly pay range and a schedule that includes weekdays and Sundays, with shifts from 11:30am to 7:30pm.

You will lead culinary operations, maintain standards, and contribute to residents’ dining experiences. Ideal candidates bring leadership, training and supervisory experience, culinary training, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• 3+ years experience in senior housing or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, training and supervision skills.
• Proficient written and oral communication with management and staff.
• Formal culinary/food service training or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform duties in extreme temperatures; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Criminal background clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Gustatory Genius: Ensure food items meet culinary standards and provide residents with an exceptional dining experience while minimizing waste.
• Kitchen Curator: Supervise and inspect all culinary service aspects, logs, equipment, storage rotation, and sanitation.
• Culinary Captain: Lead daily kitchen operations through engagement, coaching and accountability.
