Job summary

Hireology is hiring a Sous Chef for a senior living community, with a focus on creating high-quality, nutritious meals and leading kitchen staff. The role requires collaboration with the dining leadership to develop appealing menus and ensure excellent service.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, oversee food preparation, and maintain sanitation standards while working weekends and holidays as required by the community.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary training or culinary school completion.
• Minimum 3–5 years as a cook or 1+ year as a Sous Chef.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, equipment, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to develop diverse menus.
• Prepare high-quality dishes for residents.
• Lead kitchen scheduling and ensure efficient operations.
• Train staff to meet nutrition and quality standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Monitor inventory and place orders when needed.
