Job summary

Clement Manor Home in Greenfield, WI is seeking a talented Sous Chef to support our Chef in managing kitchen operations and delivering high-quality meals for residents. The role involves menu planning, food prep, and supervising staff in a 9:00am-5:30pm schedule with occasional evenings and weekends.

You will train and mentor kitchen staff, manage inventory and costs, and ensure strict health and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification or 3-5 years of high-volume culinary experience.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing daily menus.
• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
