Arrow Senior Living in Kansas City, MO seeks a Sous Chef for a full-time role with a 6:30am–2:30pm schedule Tue–Sat. The position pays $25.50–$30 per hour and includes benefits.

The Sous Chef will ensure high culinary standards, supervise kitchen operations, and lead the team to deliver exceptional resident dining experiences. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in senior housing or related field, strong leadership and supervision skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in senior housing or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, training and supervision skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with management and staff.
• Formal culinary or food service training or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Word/Excel and able to send/receive emails.
• Ability to stand/walk/bend/kneel all day and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort with hot/cold kitchen environments and indoor/outdoor events.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food items are prepared to Culinary standards and residents receive exceptional dining while controlling portions and waste.
• Supervise Culinary service, logs, equipment, storage rotation, and sanitary practices.
• Lead team in day-to-day operations with engagement, coaching, and accountability.
