Job summary

National Church Residences in College Park, GA is seeking Service Coordinators to advance better living and care for seniors. This full-time role supports residents by coordinating programs, advocating, and connecting with community services.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm at 3633 Howard Drive. A Bachelor's in social work is preferred; 2+ years of social services experience are valued. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Two or more years delivering social services to elderly/family populations preferred.
• Knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve and deliver results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Serve as liaison to community agencies and seek new services for residents.
• Identify low-cost service providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and refer to community agencies.
• Develop a resource directory of state/local service providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, agency support, life skills and referrals.
• Provide quality customer service and assist with basic needs.
• Assist residents in accessing services like housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, financial assistance, day care counseling.
• Monitor and relay feedback from residents and families.
• Manage internal and external relationships with appropriate communication.
