Job summary

National Church Residences seeks a Service Coordinator to support residents at the College Park, GA community. You will advocate for residents, organize activities, and connect residents with local services and resources to enhance daily living.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in social work and 2+ years of social services experience for seniors or families. The role emphasizes customer service, collaboration, and problem-solving in a supportive housing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for residents and coordinate programs and activities.
• Serve as liaison to community agencies and service providers.
• Identify low-cost providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and make referrals to services.
• Develop a resource directory of state/local service providers.
• Sponsor educational events related to health care, services, and life skills.
• Provide quality customer service and address resident concerns.
• Assist residents in accessing community services like meals, transportation and counseling.
• Monitor feedback from residents and families and relay it to stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external relationships through effective communication.
