Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Bluff seeks a Resident Programs Director to plan, supervise, and monitor activity programs for memory care and assisted living residents. The role supports resident health, engagement, and quality of life within a structured daily calendar.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Resident Care Director, supervising staff, coordinating events, and ensuring regulatory compliance. A driving record in good standing and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Two years college in a health care field or an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
• Ability to work with technology and maintain SMILE family engagement/calendar platform.
• Experience in activities program in adult care or memory care settings preferred.
• Must have an acceptable driving record for company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Designs a seven-day activity calendar and plans group and one-to-one programming.
• Works daily with the Resident Care Director to serve residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Monitors day-to-day operation of the Sweet Memories Neighborhood, including ADLs and meals.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations for Assisted Living Facility.
• Delivers CSL Signature Service Programs to residents in Sweet Memories and Assisted Living.
• Supervises Program Assistants; trains and evaluates staff performance.
• Manages the volunteer program and transportation for outings.
• Participates in resident move-ins and occupancy efforts.
