Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents’ daily medication needs with compassion and respect for their dignity. You will follow physician orders, adhere to medication rights, and utilize the eMAR system while communicating with clinical leadership.

Eligible candidates include those with active MT certification or at least one year in senior care, plus CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least 1 year of experience in the care of seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to the Physician’s orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and all policies/procedures regarding medication management.
• Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification/direction regarding medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ on shift.
