Job summary

Waltonwood Canton in Canton, MI is seeking a part-time Med Tech who serves as a care provider, medical aide, and team leader within the Resident Care group. You will administer medications, assist residents with ADLs, and coordinate with caregivers to support independence and safety.

You will report to the Wellness Coordinator, participate in shift handoffs, help with daily tasks, and work with physicians and pharmacies to ensure proper medication ordering.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CNA certification is required (in NC).
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and memory impairment is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents and document accordingly.
• Assist residents with ADLs (bathroom, meals, mobility, etc.).
• Participate in shift change meetings to communicate status.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
• Act as shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Assist Caregivers during shifts with transfers and duties.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacy for proper medication orders.
• Report changes in resident conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, caregivers, nurses, pharmacies and doctors.
