Waltonwood is seeking a Med Tech to be a care provider, medical aide, and leader within our wellness communities. You will administer medications and support residents in daily activities to maintain independence and safety.

You will report to the Wellness Coordinator and collaborate with Caregivers, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure proper care. This PRN role requires regular weekend availability and at least 3 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and those with memory impairment.

Responsabilités

• Administer medication to residents based on resident medical charts and document accordingly.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including toileting, showering, meals, and mobility.
• Participate in shift change meetings to communicate resident status or special needs.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
• Act as a shift supervisor to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Assist Caregivers during shifts with transfers and other duties.
• Coordinate with physicians and the pharmacy to ensure proper medication orders.
• Report changes in resident conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Communicate with residents, families, Caregivers, Wellness Coordinator, and doctors.
• Provide emotional support with respect and a cheerful demeanor.
• Promote safety and wellbeing using procedures and safety equipment.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Wellness Coordinator and leadership.
