Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the structural integrity of our senior living communities and address maintenance-related issues promptly. You will troubleshoot and repair building systems, equipment, and appliances while maintaining safety standards and service quality.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi‑unit, or hotel setting, with strong time management and a customer‑service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of maintenance/handyman experience in senior living, multi‑unit, or hotel settings.
• Experience with HVAC, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and floor care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, and appliance repairs.
• Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly and safely.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Repair vacated rooms and prepare for new resident move-in.
• Maintain common areas and ensure walls, floors, doors, and woodwork are well‑kept.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and logs.
• Coordinate with local authorities (fire marshal, inspectors) as required.
• Work within local and state codes.
