Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to sustain the structural integrity of our senior living communities. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, appliances, and related equipment across properties.

You will handle multiple tasks with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to deliver reliable service. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in maintenance or handyman roles within senior living, hotels, or multi-apartment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting.
• Proficient with HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, painting, floor care, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance as directed, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, pressure washing, basic plumbing, and appliance repairs.
• Ensure repairs and service orders are completed promptly and safely.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Repair vacated rooms promptly and prepare for new resident move-in.
• Maintain walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
• Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and inventory.
• Maintain logs of maintenance work and equipment upkeep.
• Liaise with fire marshal, inspectors, and authorities per regulations.
• Comply with local/state codes in all work.
