Vitalia Mentor is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead plant operations and housekeeping at our Mentor, OH community. You will oversee budgets, staffing, and safety programs, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.

The role requires supervisory experience in multi-unit maintenance, strong leadership, and knowledge of OSHA regulations. Physical demands include lifting and outdoor work; health clearance and criminal check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HVAC certification and experience highly recommended.
• Thorough knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, flooring, refurbishing; landscaping a plus.
• Minimum 2 years in apartment or multi-unit maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift/move items over 50 pounds.
• Active indoors and outdoors; ladder use; varies with weather.
• Criminal clearance required.
• Good health confirmed by physician health screening within 6 months prior to or 7 days after employment; TB test required.
• Clean driving record per insured policy.
• Experience in senior housing preferred.
• Leadership and supervision skills required.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and appearance of building and grounds.
• Oversee Plant Operations and Housekeeping with budget, staffing, and compliance responsibilities.
• Maintain resident satisfaction and address requests promptly.
• Ensure safety of employees, guests, and residents, including hazard prevention and emergency readiness.
