Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Line Cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events.

In a Senior Living/Healthcare setting, you will follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure food safety while meeting dietary needs. Full-time with competitive pay and benefits; requires a High School diploma and Food Handler’s Permit.

Qualifications

• Required High school diploma.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• State sanitation certificate.
• 3–4 years of related and advanced food service experience.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and safety procedures with residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.
• Maintains high standards of sanitation and food safety.
• Reads orders or follows verbal instructions and prepares food accordingly.
• Attends allergy and foodborne illness training and applies safety principles.
• Operates kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients per production sheets.
