Job summary

Covenant Living of Golden Valley is seeking a Line Cook to accurately prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. You will work in a senior living/healthcare setting, following standardized recipes and maintaining high sanitation standards.

The role requires 3–4 years of related cooking experience, strong knife skills, and ability to read and follow recipes, with ServSafe/food safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Current Food Handler’s Permit and state sanitation certificate preferred.
• 3-4 years of related food service and cooking experience.
• Experience with basic operation of kitchen equipment preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced knife experience.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions; strong safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events.
• Operates grill station and other kitchen equipment as needed.
• Ensures adherence to recipes, portioning, and high-quality presentation.
• Maintains sanitation standards and safety practices in line with regulations.
• Receives inventory and assists with prep, temps, and proper storage.
