Job summary

Covenant Retirement Communities & Covenant Care is seeking a Line Cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold foods for residents in a senior living environment. The role emphasizes following standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Required High school diploma.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• Servsafe training is beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate.
• 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and may operate a grill station.
• Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving.
• Reads food orders and prepares/cooks food accordingly.
• Maintains sanitation standards and proper food safety practices.
• Receives inventory and prepares meals for special diets as needed.
• Presents plated dishes with attention to appearance and garnish.
