Covenant Retirement Communities & Covenant Care is seeking a Line Cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold foods for meals and events in a senior living environment.

You will follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with a team to meet dietary requirements and deliver high-quality service for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• ServSafe training is beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate.
• 3–4 years of related and advanced food service experience.
• Experience with basic operation of kitchen equipment is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced knife experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods.
• May operate a grill station.
• Reads orders and prepares according to instructions.
• Maintains high quality and sanitation standards.
• Plates food with garnish and attention to presentation.
• Tastes, checks temperatures, and follows production sheets.
• Attends allergy and foodborne illness training.
