Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a dining services team member to prepare meals in accordance with menus and recipes, while directing other dining staff as needed to ensure a quality food product for residents.

This role requires institutional cooking experience, strong safety practices, and the ability to coordinate with chefs and supervisors. The position includes benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of institutional cooking, prep cooking or kitchen work preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, interpret, make independent decisions and direct work of employees.
• Must be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

• Prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, alternative menus, special event and catering foods following recipes and production sheets.
• Prepares high quality meals that taste and look appealing, testing flavor, texture and temperature.
• Prepares appropriate portions and quantities; handles additional items as requested by residents or customers.
• Maintains sanitation in the kitchen and dining area; operates and cleans equipment per SOPs.
• Follows infection control and safety procedures; reports hazardous conditions or incidents.
• Adheres to EverTrue policies and local regulations; supports a safe dining environment.
