Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a qualified kitchen staff member to prepare meals for residents with adherence to standardized menus and high quality standards. The role involves directing dining staff as needed and maintaining strict sanitation while following safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing multiple meals daily, monitoring portion sizes, and promptly addressing resident requests.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in institutional cooking or kitchen work preferred.
• Willingness to receive Hepatitis A vaccine if working in St. Louis County.
• Ability to plan, organize, interpret, and direct work of employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering according to menus and recipes.
• Prepares high quality meals that look and taste appealing and checks flavor, texture, and temperature.
• Ensures portions are correct and responds to resident or customer requests with timely production.
• Maintains sanitation in kitchen and dining areas and operates equipment safely.
• Adheres to infection control and safety procedures and reports hazards or incidents.
• Follows EverTrue safety policies and regulatory requirements in all duties.
