Job summary

EverTrue seeks a dedicated dining service cook to prepare meals per menu, supervise other dining staff when needed, and ensure high-quality, safe, and appealing dishes for residents. The role emphasizes sanitation, adherence to recipes, and cooperation with culinary leadership.

Responsibilities include preparing multiple meal types, maintaining cleanliness, following infection control procedures, and reporting hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of institutional cooking, prep cooking or kitchen work preferred.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations).
• Ability to plan, organize, interpret, make independent decisions and direct work of employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, alternative menus, special event and catering foods following standardized recipes and production sheets.
• Maintains proper sanitation in the kitchen and dining area, keeping areas clean and organized.
• Follows infection control and safety procedures and reports hazardous conditions or defective equipment.
• Directs work of dining staff as needed to ensure quality food production for residents/customers.
• Works under direction of Chefs and Dining Service Supervisors.
• Ensures compliance with federal and local regulations and EverTrue policies.
