Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a kitchen-focused team member to prepare meals for residents according to menus, recipes, and production sheets. You will work under Chefs and Dining Service Supervisors to deliver high-quality food with proper presentation and temperature.

The role requires at least two years in institutional cooking or related kitchen work, willingness to meet vaccine requirements, and the ability to plan, organize, and lead others.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of institutional cooking, prep cooking or kitchen work preferred.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations)
• Ability to plan, organize, interpret, make independent decisions and direct work of employees

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, alternative menus, special events and catering per recipes and production sheets.
• Prepare high quality meals that taste and smell good and have a pleasing appearance and presentation. Test and taste food to ensure flavor, texture and temperature.
• Prepare appropriate portions and quantity of food adhering to standardized production menus; accommodate residents’ requests in a timely fashion.
• Maintain sanitation in the kitchen and dining area; operate equipment safely per SOPs.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures and report hazardous conditions or defective equipment to supervisor.
• Comply with EverTrue policies and state/federal food handling regulations; follow instructions and perform other duties as needed.
