Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Executive Director in Norfolk, VA. The ED serves as CEO of the community, directing programs and policies and ensuring efficient administration of the business plan.

The role includes marketing, resident care coordination, staffing, and regulatory compliance. A post-secondary education and 3+ years of supervisory senior-housing experience are required, with driving ability and strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Meets all current requirements of the State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities.
• Two years post-secondary education; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' supervisory experience in senior housing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and be a valid driver.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general health and well-being of residents and coordinate care and services, including nursing supervision.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and right personnel in the right places.
• Lead efforts to market the community and maintain occupancy goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and complete required paperwork for inspections.
• Hire, train, and schedule community staff; model core values.
• Drive a company vehicle as required; perform other duties as assigned.
