Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Resident Lifestyle Assistant to support the Resident Lifestyle Director in designing and coordinating daily enrichment activities for active residents. The role focuses on promoting physical, mental, emotional, and social well‑being.

You will engage residents and lead diverse activities, coordinate events, and assist with communications and newsletters, while ensuring a warm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of experience with seniors in life enrichment activities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional and organized; willing to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents one‑on‑one and in groups.
• Lead group and individual social, educational, indoor and outdoor activities.
• Facilitate games, conversations, exercise, art and music events.
• Support monthly newsletter coordination.
• Encourage resident participation and document outcomes.
• Review goals and progress notes.
• Assist in decorating for events and holidays.
• Coordinate external trips, reservations, and safety during outings.
• Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
