Job summary

Qualifications

• Active state bar admission in the jurisdiction where you practice.
• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Experience preparing civil pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.
• Solid knowledge of rules of Professional Responsibility.
• Experience with external counsel management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload to obtain successful outcomes through outside counsel oversight.
• Hold outside counsel accountable for meeting company requirements.
• Develop defense strategy for life cycle of files and adjust as litigation dictates.
• Adhere to litigation best practices and ensure proper motion practice and trial prep.
• Escalate and report on files timely; review strategy with management and attorney team.
• Incorporate reserving practices, including early recognition of reserve deficiencies and obtaining authority.
