Job summary

CIQ is seeking a Principal Linux Engineer to own Rocky Linux packaging for the CIQ (RLC) portfolio. You will patch, build, test, and customize userspace packages, while improving tooling and automation in the OS packaging workflow.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, open-source communities, and sales to deliver robust solutions. Strong CVE remediation and testing are required in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Proven Linux engineering or development experience.
• 4+ years supporting Linux and 2+ years building Linux packages.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Ansible and DoD STIG/SCAP/RADIX.

Responsibilities

• Owns software solutions for Rocky Linux and builds, patches, and tests userspace packages.
• Improves tooling and automation in the OS packaging process.
• Develops automated tests and documentation for projects.
• Collaborates with engineering, product, open-source community, and sales teams.
