Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting to drive growth in large projects and provide technical sales leadership. The role combines customer engagement, product demonstrations, and collaboration with sales teams to secure complex lighting solutions.

You will leverage deep product knowledge to support customers before and after the sale, deliver compelling presentations, and help identify opportunities across markets.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required; engineering or business bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Proficient with computers and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on clients and representatives to promote technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Gathers and shares technical information and solutions with internal and external customers.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Promotes value-add products in competitive situations.
