Job summary

Visual Comfort & Co. is seeking a seasoned sales professional to drive new business and expand relationships in residential builders, interior designers, architects, and designers.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, you will lead the sales cycle, manage key accounts, and leverage cross-functional resources to exceed targets. The role emphasizes relationship building, consultative selling, and a strong knowledge of product offerings, operating systems, and market dynamics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in a consultative environment.
• 3+ years in custom home building products, interior design, luxury furnishings, or lighting.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
• Proven track record of cultivating relationships and achieving sales goals.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Superior communication, presentation and organization skills.
• Passion for design and construction markets.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Independent, proactive, and self-motivated with exceptional service.
• Ability to work independently and with teams to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the sales process using available resources.
• Conduct 16 face-to-face sales calls per week.
• Clearly communicate Visual Comfort’s value proposition to customers.
• Network with architects, builders and designers through trade associations.
• Manage existing customers to ensure retention and growth.
• Use CRM to manage a priority-based schedule with customers.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Visual Comfort’s products and services.
• Analyze data to drive decision making.
