Job summary

Visual Comfort & Co. seeks an experienced showroom sales professional to deliver comprehensive lighting and shading solutions for trade and consumer clients. You will guide projects from inception through completion, combining sales success with technical design support.

The role emphasizes relationship building with architects, designers, and homeowners, plus collaboration with the Design Studio on construction documents and BOMs. A luxury lighting background is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail or showroom sales experience, preferably in luxury lighting or building materials.
• Experience in design or building products industry and ability to advise on lighting and shading solutions.
• Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and order-entry processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with architects, designers, and clients.
• Proactive project management and ability to manage multiple timelines.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and surpass both individual and showroom sales objectives.
• Oversee all phases of the sales process from opportunity to invoice with strong customer service.
• Manage sales pipeline using order-entry software and multiple communication channels.
• Deliver expert design consultation and product recommendations to trade and retail clients.
• Provide guidance on lighting selections to foster enduring client relationships.
• Present compelling demonstrations of lighting, controls, and shading solutions.
• Develop relationships with architects, builders, interior designers, and homeowners.
• Collaborate with design studio to prepare construction docs and BOMs.
• Maintain showroom standards, operate systems, and participate in rotating Saturday schedule.
