Job summary

Barrington James is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Business Development professional to support growth in the life sciences sector. You will identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships, and drive revenue growth across biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

You bring an established network within life sciences, a solid understanding of drug development, and a track record of winning new business in CRO/CDMO settings, with travel across North America as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of business development, sales, or strategic account management experience within CRO/CDMO or life sciences services.
• Experience supporting programs involving biologics, gene therapy, cell therapy, RNA-based therapeutics, or biomarker development.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and develop new client relationships across biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and emerging life sciences companies.
• Lead opportunities through the sales cycle from engagement to contract execution.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored client solutions and proposals.
• Monitor market activity, competitive positioning, and emerging business opportunities.
