Job summary

Norstella seeks a Senior Life Sciences Knowledge Engineer to bridge domain expertise and applied AI within a remote US setting. You will curate fine-tuned datasets, shape model schemas, and drive reproducible, compliant data work for clients.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to iterate on performance, ensure GxP-compliant practices, and contribute to knowledge-base initiatives across Norstella.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in life sciences, medical sciences, computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of production-grade life science datasets experience with AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with structured publishing platforms and data tools; automation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Translate domain expertise into patterns teachable to models with gold-standard examples.
• Develop model behavior parameters based on requirements and quick iteration.
• Design and refine fine-tuning datasets showing end-to-end behavior.
• Author and maintain annotation guidelines ensuring consistent schemas and vocabularies.
• Define task taxonomy and output schema with data scientists.
