Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr. Construction Management Professional in Cary, NC to lead and deliver complex life science projects. You’ll guide preconstruction, develop execution plans, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with engineering teams while traveling as needed across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of MEP systems, architectural systems, clean room construction and general building construction & maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project execution plan and strategies, including advance work planning and alignment with engineering teams of engineering work packages.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation strategy development.
• Support subcontractor engagement, budget package development, proposal evaluations, and pre-award alignment.
• Travel to support project and client needs during planning, design, procurement, and construction phases (up to 75%+ at times).
