Job summary

Travelers in the United States is seeking a qualified Liability Claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and resolve complex Specialty Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. This role excludes staff management and includes a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Under general supervision, you will handle assigned severity claims, provide excellent customer service, and coordinate with internal and external experts to determine liability and damages while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of liability claim handling experience and/or comparable litigation claim experience.
• Possession or acquisition of insurance license(s) may be required within three months of starting the job.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severity claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures timely coverage analysis and communication with insured.
• Investigates claims with policyholders, claimants, and other parties to determine liability and damages.
• Assists in selecting and directing internal/external resources for claim evaluation.
• Maintains claim files and adheres to procedures and quality standards.
• Negotiates disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their representatives.
• Manages litigated claims with panel counsel and tracks legal expenses.
