Job summary

Travelers is seeking a seasoned claims professional to investigate, evaluate and resolve severe General Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You’ll provide expert coverage analysis, negotiate settlements and manage litigation strategies, while coordinating with counsel and experts to ensure timely, fair outcomes.

Hybrid work location is supported; two years of bodily injury liability claim handling experience is a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3 years bodily injury liability claim handling and/or litigation experience.
• Proficiency in coverage, contract interpretation, liability and damages analysis.
• Strong understanding of litigation processes and management skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions on most cases without supervisor
• Knowledge of ISO forms, policy language and claims handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve assigned General Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims.
• Provide quality customer service and maintain file quality and timely coverage analysis.
• Consult with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly interview witnesses and stakeholders and determine liability and damages.
• Coordinate with internal/external resources for investigation and resolution.
• Negotiate dispositions and manage litigation plans with panel counsel.
