Job summary

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Finance Department. The role focuses on accurate and timely completion of billing in line with firm and client guidelines, handling inquiries and ensuring invoices are processed efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of legal billing experience, familiarity with electronic billing via various vendor sites and the Ehub, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of legal billing experience; Elite experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic billing via various vendor websites and the Ehub.

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to general billing inquiries from management, staff, attorneys and clients.
• Review aged unbilled WIP and provide status updates to Billing Supervisor/Director of Billing.
• Provide expense detailed backup to accompany invoices as required.
• Research and address client overpayments and cost advances as needed to see whether applications can be completed to current invoices or a refund is required.
• Process invoices utilizing internal Paperless Proforma application for specific attorneys.
• Review newly opened matters for clients of assigned attorneys to see whether matters are available through e-billing websites.
• Ensure that invoices are submitted in a timely fashion and that all reductions or rejections to invoices are addressed promptly.
• Submit Rate Requests, as required for certain vendor sites.
• Provide updates regarding invoice status to Billing Supervisor/Director of Billing.
• Assist with special projects, as assigned.
