Job summary

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely invoicing in our Finance Department. The role involves responding to inquiries, reviewing WIP, and providing backup documentation for invoices.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of legal billing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This on-site role supports attorneys and clients across multiple matters.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of legal billing experience or Elite experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask and take initiative.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, high-demand environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond timely to general billing inquiries from management, staff, attorneys and clients.
• Review aged unbilled WIP and provide status updates to Billing Supervisor/Director of Billing.
• Provide expense detailed backup to accompany invoices as required.
• Research and address client overpayments and cost advances for invoice adjustments or refunds.
• Process invoices using Paperless Proforma for specific attorneys.
• Review newly opened matters for clients of assigned attorneys for e-billing availability.
• Ensure invoices are submitted timely and address any reductions or rejections promptly.
• Submit Rate Requests for certain vendor sites as needed.
• Provide updates regarding invoice status to Billing Supervisor/Director of Billing.
