Job summary

Talener in Boston, MA is seeking an Application Support Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert for the firm’s core legal applications, with primary responsibility for iManage and Aderent systems. You will provide Tier 2/3 support, diagnose root causes, and ensure timely resolution.

You will also manage application configuration, updates, and integrations with IT and vendor teams, develop SQL queries, and support API-based workflows across systems such as intake, time & billing, and HRIS,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise applications in law firms or professional services.
• Hands-on experience with iManage Work, iManage Control Center, iManage Records Manager, and Aderent.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, data analysis, reporting).
• Experience with integrations, APIs, and automation tools.
• Experience with iManage and modern authentication/identity management.
• Exposure to PowerShell, Python, or Okta workflow.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for core legal applications (iManage and Aderent).
• Provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshooting issues and diagnosing root causes.
• Manage application configuration, updates, enhancements, and integrations with IT/vendor teams.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and data migrations.
• Support API-based workflows and automation between iManage, Aderent, and other firm systems.
• Support data governance and security across platforms.
• Collaborate with KM, Legal Engineering, and Practice Support teams to optimize document lifecycle.
