Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Learning Design Lead to diagnose workforce skilling needs and translate technical gaps into scalable learning solutions across the Tech organization.

You will partner with SMEs and Tech leaders to improve associate performance using performance consulting, instructional design, and learning technologies. The role requires autonomy to clarify needs, define outcomes, recommend solutions, and drive work from discovery through implementation and measurement, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years designing end-to-end learning solutions for technical audiences.
• 8+ years applying learning methods (ILT, VILT, eLearning, etc.).
• 5+ years defining learning success measures and evaluating effectiveness.
• Experience with multimedia assets and authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Creative Suite).
• Experience managing courses in LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand or similar).
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning, performance, and workforce capability needs and identify skill gaps.
• Design and deliver learner-centered experiences across modalities (ILT, VILT, eLearning, microlearning).
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, role-relevant learning with SMEs.
• Build partnerships with Tech leaders, SMEs, and instructional designers.
• Define learning success measures and evaluate outcomes with data and feedback.
• Configure and maintain learning assets in LMS for deployment, access, tracking, and reporting.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis and content development while ensuring governance.
• Develop and prioritize skilling roadmap with Associate Director.
• Provide consulting on incoming learning requests for Tech colleagues.
• Communicate progress, risks, insights, and decisions to leaders.
