Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to manage a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment, applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC standards across 34.5 kV to 500 kV projects. You will direct engineers in PLS-CADD modeling, structure loading, drafting, BOMs, and procurement through planning to construction.

This senior role emphasizes client relations, staff growth, and program leadership. The position offers 100% remote work with preference for reside within the southeast U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems with a Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a Master’s.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Team-oriented with strong communication to clients.
• Willingness to work onsite in Leidos or client offices and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple design teams on transmission line projects for major utilities.
• Develop and mentor Leidos' engineering talent.
