Job summary

JPMorganChase, within the Corporate Sector - Infrastructure Platforms, is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer. You will be part of an agile team that builds trusted, scalable technology products that are secure and reliable, delivering business impact across global data centers.

You will mentor engineers, lead production-grade deployments, automate OpenShift/Kubernetes lifecycle, and collaborate across global teams while applying AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding standards.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong fundamentals in system design: API design, data modeling, testing strategy, and operational stability.
Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python building scalable server-side services.
Experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools with ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows with security considerations.
Solid understanding of virtualization automation (VM lifecycle, CPU, memory, storage, networking).
Hands-on experience automating OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster lifecycle and Day-2 operations.
Experience developing and maintaining automated workflows in complex distributed environments; strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with workflow orchestration at scale; Temporal strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute software solutions and troubleshoot for virtualized cluster lifecycle automation.
Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance enforcement, and decommissioning using Platform APIs.
Adopt enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes with validated standards.
Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value and governance.
Identify opportunities to eliminate recurring issues to improve stability.
Lead production-grade deployments and diagnose issues using structured troubleshooting methods.
Work with large-scale infrastructure projects and document design decisions.
Mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews to elevate engineering standards.
Collaborate with peers across global teams.
